Morgan appeared alongside other actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women that focuses on AIDS prevention and education. The proceeds were donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising initiatives and gave a testimony to a special Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. She is on the Board of Governors of APLA as well as the Board of Directors of Amfar. She has been asked to fill in for the Surgeon General who was formerly C. Everett Koop at AIDS-related events. Steve Bell, a anchor on the news, has hosted a AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline on AIDS. Morgan was nominated to win an Emmy for her performance in the Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. She co-starred in the ABC show Your Money or Your Wife alongside Joan Rivers. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zeerneck and Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams as well appeared. In her next role, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady together with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also the main character in a psychological thriller which was solely produced for the USA Network. It received the top rating recorded in network history.
